Moonshine is on the increase in rural Virginia, so says the ATF. I say that it never left, just died down a bit. People use it for barter instead of cash, but it never died!
As many may have guessed, hiring is still going on these days. The DMV is hiring people to help build roads. Lots of work there. We don't know how the pay is, however. Also, on the lower end of the employment scale there seems to be plenty of hiring going on. I am talking about your dead end jobs here, of course. Career opportunities are what the USA is in short supply of. The unemployment rate here, if figured as they did in 1980, would be at 20%. In other words, just take the present rate, divide by three and add a third to the original amount! There you have the TRUE unemployment rate!
That being said, however, there are still jobs to be had here in the US, just not that many career oportunities to be had. Emplyment and career, both as words, are sure to change in defintion very soon, and indeed they already are. Short term, or temporary stint is more like the proper term for the future, but never the less, some oportunity is still there to be had, just the same. I am thinking about writing a how to guide and publishing it right here via my site. Stay tuned! |
